M. J. is a young adult dystopian author. She lives in Vancouver Canada where the continual sound of rain inspires her to create dark and ominous worlds and the heroines who fight for them.
As a child she used to back people into corners sharing her intricate stories. It was a natural transition from spoken to written word as soon as she came of age: she was often found scribbling her ideas in various notebooks.
Her professional life started as a hairstylist, and eventually progressed into the corporate world, and now, an author. She was born and raised in a small farming community, and moved to the big city on the west coast when opportunity knocked.
When she isn\’t writing, she frequents parks so she can pet other people\’s dogs, or watches copious amounts of cat videos, all while longing for a cure for allergies.
