In reply to Wendy.

Hi, Wendy, and thanks for your comment! This sounds like a phenomenal story - and I see why you're concerned about the blurb - it's a solid blurb, but you need to shift the focus to your main characters rather than the mentor! What about something like this?

Six students. Five mystical stones. One ancient evil rising.

At Crescent Harbor University, a new generation of heroes is awakening. Five students have mysteriously bonded with sentient crystals known as Heartstones—powerful relics that once helped protect the world from a catastrophic storm of evil.

The last time the storm came, it nearly destroyed everything. One crystal was shattered. Another vanished. And the knowledge of what’s coming—and how to stop it—was lost to time.

Now, as strange phenomena ripple across campus and ancient enemies stir, these unlikely students must unlock their powers, uncover the truth behind the Heartstones, and face a threat far older—and darker—than they ever imagined.

But shadowy forces are circling, including two rival organizations that want the stones for their own secret agendas. And with the storm brewing once again, the team must come together before history repeats itself… with even deadlier consequences.

I'm not familiar with your story itself, so this may not be completely accurate to your storyline, but could be a jumping off point. I hope it helps!

This is about as newbie as you can get, My problem is, I have an ensemble cast with an emphasis on my superhero team, but the most natural way to describe it is to start with their advisor/mentor, which makes it seem like that book's more about him than them:

Thirty years ago archaeology student David Asimov unearthed a sentient rock that promptly formed a mystical bond with him. Now he’s the physics department head at Crescent Harbor University and four of the five other “Heartstones” that he found have bonded students at CHU. Asimov knows the Heartstones exist to thwart a periodic "storm of evil" but the last time that happened, one of the crystals was damaged, another is "whereabouts unknown," and most of the knowledge of what the danger is and how to prepare for it has been lost. Not only that, but he's getting competing offers from the SilverStone Investment Group and a new organization that his old mentor is putting together called ISAAC. Do either of them have anything to do with this "storm of evil," and can they learn how to use their powers and figure out what this "storm of evil" is before it's too late?
