While some other programs have come close to pulling me away, none have wrested the heavyweight title from Scrivener’s hands yet! While it has a bit of a learning curve, that is mainly because there are TONS of features, and many writers attempt to learn everything about the software before diving in… which is exactly the opposite of what they should do! Dive in and learn as you go — seriously! Even as long as I’ve been using it, there are features I don’t use, and possibly never will. The writing part is the key function. You can learn the rest as you’re using it and need those features.

Not only does it have the completely glare-free Paperwhite style screen, it has tons of storage for my thousands of e-books, and writing on this device with the premium pen feels like writing with your favorite pen on expensive paper, it is so smooth! One of my favorite things about this is all the custom notebooks I can have, and when I’m ready to start editing a manuscript, I’ll pop it into PDF, drop it onto my Scribe, and can edit by writing directly in the document no matter where I go — love it!
